It’s World War II and you are B.J. Blazkowicz, the Allies’ most valuable agent. In the midst of the German Blitzkrieg, the Spear that pierced the side of Christ is taken from Versailles by the Nazis and secured in the impregnable Castle Wolfenstein. According to legend, no man can be defeated when he has the Spear. Hitler believes himself to be invincible with the power of the Spear as his brutal army sweeps across Europe.

Spear of Destiny is a prequel to Wolfenstein 3-D. It is a first-person shooter that uses the same engine and has the same gameplay, however the game is not divided into 6 separate episodes – all the levels are one long episode.

Secret Agent is a side-scrolling platform game, where your objective is to complete 15 levels, allowing you to gain access to the “main fortress” which is the 16th level. On each level, you have to find and destroy a radar dish, and also find a bundle of dynamite and place it at the exit to blow it open.

Endrick, the warrior, and Elandra, the sorceress, have to travel through 26 levels, split into 3 ‘episodes’ to find the source of what’s corrupting the land of Mysteria. Endrick uses his sword fight enemies in close combat, and Elandra uses a supply of gems to blast them with fireballs from a distance.

Pharaoh’s Tomb is a platform game where the player controls the actions of Nevada Smith. Nevada can run around and jump and he can also throw spears at enemies. More spears can be picked up on certain levels and bonus lives to give you a better chance at getting through the adventure can also be found or earned. Levels are passed once the required number of keys or treasures are found. Players can save their progress at the beginning of any level. Enemies in Pharaoh’s Tomb are restricted to move in strict patterns and players must pay close attention to these patterns to avoid them. Throwing spears at enemies also requires some space between the player and the enemy and therefore enemies can’t be speared when Nevada is right next to them.

The evil Count Chuck has kidnapped all the world’s animals in order to turn them into soldiers in his dark army. Johnny Dash’s dog, Tex, has been captured along with the other animals, and it’s up to him to enter the Night World and save him! You use a slingshot to combat the ghastly enemies, which include skeletons, zombies, and severed hands. You can collect power-ups to increase your slingshot’s power (only for a limited number of shots, however), candy for bonus points, hearts for health, and Johnny-shaped voodoo dolls for extra lives.

Willow consists of various action sequences which recreate different scenes from the movie including an escape from the dungeons, lost in the ice caves, escaping from guards in the woods, and others. The player can go through all the sequences in order, or read the story in the form of a scrolling manuscript and click on keywords to jump to a particular action sequence.
