I suggest running the game on a virtual machine. Try installing Windows Virtual Machine 2007, and a copy of Windows 98 Second Edition on WinWorld (Don’t worry, it’s abandonware). I would suggest following a tutorial somewhere before attempting, but it is very easy. Lego Island works perfect on a virtual machine!

I’d love to see this game released on Steam, Maybe with some modifications to it. Nothing too big, keep the visuals and music as it is. The most I see in terms of changes would be controls.

windows 95 originally. If you have a hard time getting it to run, right click the .exe file and go to the compatibility settings and change it to win95. Most the time that will work for older games.

For anybody having trouble (since there’s a bunch of douchebags here that are making snarky jokes instead of helping), if you want to run this on a newer system, saw Windows 8.1, you’ll need to go into the drive from the download (that has the install.exe in it), and go into the folder “REDIST”. From there, go into the folder “DIRECTX”. Then, find the file “D3DRM.DDL” and paste it into the Lego Island folder created after installing the program. This should get it to work. I also recommend running the program on an older operating system. To do this, right-click the LEGOIsle application, go to properties, then go to configurations, and set it to Windows 95. I hope this helped!
